Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities: Responsible for providing from a concept, a complete machine design or design upgrade with detailed part drawings; Liaise with the purchasing for procurement of standard parts and spares; Work independently to create new designs and improve existing ones; Responsible to Create BOM; Design and optimization of mechanical components for automotive powertrain systems. Components include shafts, couplings, flanges, housings, clutches etc; Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
